Jesus is our assurance in prayer, guidance, protection, and deliverance. John 10:10 states that the “thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Such was my case--- my husband had intimidated me and isolated me from my family and friends. It was so subtle just like the devil is. Before I knew it I was in a downward spiral of destruction that almost killed my spirit. He would threaten me, blame me, strip me financially, and he also assaulted me verbally, physically, sexually, and mentally. But God heals that which the devil seeks to destroy.
God is Jehovah Jirah he will provide
God is Jehovah Rophe the Lord who heals
And I know for sure that God is Jehovah Shalom the God of peace.

Celebrating my FREEDOM and my 50th Birthday in Barbados 2005
After 15 years of abuse, I finally left my abuser in 2003. It took 2 years for the divorce to be final. It was a long journey but worth it! For my 50th birthday and celebration of freedom I went to Barbados for 1 week with my sister. It was the first time in a long time that I truly felt the weight of the chains removed!
My Trip to Spain Christmas 2010
My daughter surprised me with a trip to Spain. Together we endured a great deal during my years of abuse. Not only was I abused but found out that my daughter also was abused. We sometimes believe that we are protecting our children only to learn that the monster has many tricks up his sleeve. I thank God everyday that he has brought both of us through this terrible ordeal. How blessed that both me and my daughter can now live a life free from abuse.
My Trip to Mexico 2013
Yes, we are still standing and going strong. There have been many hiccups along this journey of freedom but I know it is all for a purpose. I believe that there is a master plan. We must understand that our story is to encourage others. We are the ones blessed with a voice for those who feel defeated or lost their way on the journey to true freedom.
The Oprah Magazine Girls' Getaway
January 30 - February 2, 2019
We are inseparable. My daughter and I have gone on several journeys together since my last posting of our travels, but this was our first cruise together. What a way to celebrate by joining Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King on the Nieuw Statendam Holland America Cruise ship. We are BLESSED!!!
Thanksgiving 2019 Cruise to Cozumel Mexico
What better way than to give thanks to God our Father than the opportunity to celebrate all the blessings with my daughter on a cruise. As we continue to share our love for travel, we encourage all of you to share your journey with your loved ones and take time to meet other people along the way. Who knows what new friends you may find along the way.
